He is currently a plastic and reconstructive surgery resident doctor at the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics. One of his areas of interest is wound healing. He is member of European Wound Management Association (EWMA) and a co-author of several papers in EWMA conferences. In the topic of wound healing, he is particularly interested in platelet rich-plasma and its use for the treatment of chronic wounds. As a result, he is cooperating with Domantas Rainys, MD and Prof. Rytis Rimdeika, MD, PhD in a prospective randomized trial "A study on the effectiveness of autologous platelet-rich plasma gel in the treatment of chronic leg wounds". He is also a co-author of a recent article "Platelet biology and the rationale of PRP therapy in chronic wounds". |

2010 graduated as MD from University of Tartu. Started residency of orthopaedics and traumatology in 2011, switched to residency of otolaryngology and head & neck surgery in 2014. Special interest in head and neck tumor surgery and aesthetic surgery. Have been mainly working/training in Head and Neck department of North Estonia Medical Centre. Spare time is reserved for hiking, running, swimming and pilates. |

Currently professor emeritus, University of Tartu, giving lectures in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Speciality: oral- and maxillofacial surgeon. Main research topics at present are dedicated to the pathogenetic mechanisms and treatment possibilities of patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Clinical activity includes mainly patients´ treatment with various pathologies of the TMJ, needing conservative or surgical treatment. |
Heleia Nestal Zibo

She graduated in Dentistry at Sao Paulo State University, continued her studies at the Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Santa Casa Charity Hospital of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2006, she moved to Estonia and in 2011 completed the specialisation in maxillofacial surgery at Tartu University, received additional training in craniofacial malformations and cranioplasty at Helsinki Craniofacial Center and Oulu University Hospital, Finland. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Tartu University in 2017 and is a PhD student there. Since 2011, Dr. Nestal Zibo works as a maxillo-facial surgeon at the North-Estonia Medical Centre (Tallinn), with main interest and continuous international education in craniofacial, orthognathic and facial aesthetic surgeries. She is responsible for the initiation and development of a systematic multidisciplinary care of patients with craniosynostosis in Estonia since 2011. |

Girts Šalms works as certified maxillofacial surgeon since 2000. He is a Head of State Centre of Dentistry and Facial Surgery. He is a Professor of Riga Stradiņš University, teaches Latvian and international undergraduate and postgraduate students is an author of scientific publications. His special clinical interests are orthognathic surgery, TMJ, plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons of Latvia, Latvian Association for Dentists, Baltic Association for Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery, International Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, European Association of Craniofacial Surgery, The Royal College of Edinburgh. |
